Singapore’s Second Voluntary National Review - Ms Grace Fu, Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, at the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, on 19 July 2023
As a small island city-state with limited land and no natural resources, Singapore has always pursued sustainable development since independence, balancing economic development with environmental sustainability.
At last month’s High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Farah H. Sanwari, Singapore’s youth representative, and Minister Grace Fu delivered Singapore’s second Voluntary National Review to update the United Nations on Singapore’s progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
For water, besides the robust Four National Taps system led by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, Singapore will be redoubling our efforts to improve the efficiency and resilience of our water infrastructure to ensure universal access to clean water.
